About Me

Hi, I’m Tyler!

I’m a theatre artist and production professional with a passion for the behind-the-scenes work that brings a show to life. My journey in theatre started at Patchogue-Medford High School, where I had the opportunity to explore just about every side of production—from lighting and sound to stage management, video, photography, and even playing alto saxophone in the pit. Those experiences showed me that some of the most exciting parts of theatre happen behind the curtain.

I’m now continuing that journey here at SUNY Fredonia, where I’m pursuing a BFA in Theatrical Production and Design with a concentration in Lighting and Stage Management, along with a minor in Arts Administration. I’m especially interested in the balance between the creative and technical sides of production and how good organization, communication, and collaboration can turn an idea into a successful production.

Outside of the theatre, I’ve always enjoyed working with media and technology. I’ve been involved in student leadership, digital media, communications, and content creation through organizations like E-Media, The Red and Black, RaiderTV, and the Patchogue-Medford Marching Band. These experiences have given me the chance to build skills in everything from Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva to ETC lighting consoles, QLab, and Microsoft Office.

What I enjoy most is being part of a team and figuring out how all the pieces fit together. Whether I’m programming lights, calling a show, editing a video, or helping organize a production, I love the process of taking an idea and helping make it real.
